Scope
The single governing idea defining what the Grant can do and what it can never become.

Player primer
A Grant is one focused supernatural capability conveyed through a Deal. The Deal explains who offered the power and what was promised. The Grant describes how that power behaves in play. Completing the Promise resolves the obligation, but it does not control mechanical Power Development.
The single governing idea defining what the Grant can do and what it can never become.
The passive way the recipient’s body, senses, or instincts have adapted to carrying the power.
Precise techniques with a clear activation, range, effect, resource, and limit.
The physical or sensory sign showing how the power has taken shape through the character.
Choose a working tree
A Classification describes what a power does, not where it came from or how strong it is. One is primary. Secondary Facets change how that same power operates without adding an unrelated Grant.
Level-one foundation
Your own Channel Expressions cannot damage you or impose their harmful conditions on you. You can direct your momentary output and recognize its residue. Similar effects from other sources affect you normally.
Create one narrow harmless use of the output. It cannot damage, impose a condition, move a creature, or replace a Profession feature.
Make a ranged Grant attack. On a hit, deal 1d6 damage of one type fixed by the Scope.
The output must travel through an unobstructed path from you to its target. Total cover blocks it, and it cannot persist or act independently unless an Expression says otherwise.
Test the root concept
I release [a narrow phenomenon] from [where it emerges]. It naturally [one thing it naturally does], but it cannot [one rule it cannot bypass].
Level-one choice
Both choices belong to one Grant and one Deal.
Make a ranged Grant attack. On a hit, deal 2d6 damage and push the target up to 10 feet.
Creatures in the cone make a Dexterity save, taking 2d6 damage on a failure or half on a success.
Make a ranged Grant attack. On a hit, deal 1d6 damage and reduce the target’s speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
Power Development
Each selection represents one level where experience developed the Grant instead of advancing the Profession. Automatic scaling keeps the foundation effective while purchased nodes create identity.
